What's included in your membership
Just like hitting a bucket before your round, we need to prime the body before we ask it to perform. Each day you can plan for 5 to 10 minutes to get your body warm and open up stiff joints. We also want to make sure we appropriately cool you down so we typically do some light stretching or blood flow work to cap things off.
This is a big one. The body needs to be stressed in order for it to adapt. First expose you to strengthening movements at manageable weights and then increase the intensity in later weeks to force adaptation. Using a simple linear progression we can get you stronger as safely and efficiently as possible.
Probably the most overlooked by golfers but very important. Have you ever noticed fatigue set in later in the round? Maybe you start getting hot on #12, but then your start losing swing speed and can’t seem to control the clubface to finish off the round. If you train your energy systems appropriately you no longer have to worry about this.
It’s the little things that make the biggest difference. Accessory work does two things: 1) prevents future injuries and 2) works to correct compensation patterns / imbalances you have developed over the years. Put simply your knee pain is not from your knee, typically it’s caused by something upstream (above the joint) or downstream (below the joint). We focus on these areas in the accessory work to keep you playing pain free.
Each session, actually each movement, has instructional videos to guide you guaranteeing you do things right. It’s key to hit the intended stimulus of each movement in order to achieve the long-term goals of the program. We built this thing to work for the most beginner athlete all the way up to the gym fanatic.
We are golfers. We are fitness experts. We aren’t going to ask you to do any goofy things like balance on a bosu ball or awkwardly chuck a medicine ball at the wall. Why? Because we understand how the human body creates and expresses power. Specifically we understand how this happens in the golf swing and moreover we understand the joints that need increased range of motion to allow you a full and powerful golf swing.
This is something we are working on. Golfers are not typically lean, mean fighting machines. But they can be. We have the resources to provide you with a simplified way to look at how you fuel your body. We aren’t going to ask you to give up your Sunday beers….unless you want us to.
